What’s the African country you would love to visit this year and why?
Let me say Kenya. I’ve been hearing a lot about Kenya and I would love to see their animals and their environment. I watched the video cruise. They had an argument between Kenyans and Nigerians. And I was just laughing. Like these people don’t know what we have here in Nigeria. But it was very fun to listen to. And I would love to be in their country.
What’s the most underrated Nigerian food?
Wow. Let me say – ah underrated Nigerian food. I’m a traditional person. Let me go with amala.
How do you look after yourself in your free time?
One thing about me is I work a lot. I don’t have spare time. Because I don’t actually use it to actually, let’s say watch movies. Nowadays, I just want to branch into watching movies so I can learn more in the end. Before I started my business I watched movies a lot but since I started my business I don’t have time to watch movies or even go out and play games.
In the past I played basketball, but I injured my knee and I have not had time to even say I want to play games. I can’t remember when last I went out to play. I’m always indoors, working, researching, learning new things, watching videos on YouTube on how to scale businesses and how to improve myself.

That’s one thing that has really been helping me. So I watch a lot of videos on YouTube, different videos that helped me improve myself and improve my businesses. On YouTube you can find a lot of videos that people like the founder’s fund that I’ve dropped in the past. I picked one or two things from them.
I learn how the founders explain how they started sponsoring events and how it has helped them grow their businesses. And I try to apply that into my business every day. The different advertisements that we use, I get them from videos.
That really helps me to develop my business. So I really don’t have time to say I want to go out. I just really need to be learning and building myself.
What has been the most humbling moment in your journey as an entrepreneur?
One of the humbling moments I’ve had was when I go out to events, people just tell me, are you Edgar? The reason why that happens is because I put myself out there. That was how you actually caught up with what we’ve done in the past. One of the things that happened in the past was I posted, we were just a month into starting about taking the rib.
I think we started in August and in September, somebody from the Startup Lagos reached out to me, Mr. Morokeji. He reached out to me and was like come to our office, let’s have an interview. I was like, wow. Just a month into our business. I was so surprised. I didn’t expect that and I was so surprised.
The only traction we’ve had was users and our revenue has grown to ₦113,000. That was just the amount we got in that month. I posted everything, all the stats and everything we’ve accomplished. And he reached out to me immediately and said, let’s have an interview.
That interview really humbled me because I never expected it. For somebody to find me online and say, come let’s have an interview. It really shocked me and till today, I communicate with Mr. Morokeji and whenever they have their founders hang out, I attend and he gives me advice and ideas on how to push the business. So those are some of the humbling moments we’ve had in the past.
What is your favourite sport?
Basketball.
Who’s your favourite basketball player?
Do I have a favourite basketball player? Well, one of them had a tragic death from a helicopter some time ago. I think it is Kobe Bryant and not just basketball but I enjoy their motivational quotes that these people gave in the past. I go on instagram and watch their videos and I’m like wow these people gave some inspiring quotes in the past. That people in the future will learn from, the next generations, and five generations to come if Instagram is still there. You can go to Instagram and find these quotes.
What’s one thing that you would love people to know about you?
I’m just a boy from the woods. I love to be a producer whenever I see solutions that people have created in the past or apps. So I tend to test them and see how it works? And that’s why I consume a lot of newsletters, a lot of videos. I keep learning every day. Because if I don’t learn, I keep dying. If you want to grow every day, you should keep learning. So that’s one thing about me.
