What’s the African country that you would love to visit this year and why?

Is it okay to mention more than one?

You can mention more than one country

Okay, let me mention two countries. Right from childhood, I’ve loved South Africa. I’ve loved South Africa for so many reasons. And I still do love South Africa for so many reasons. I admire their culture, the Zulu culture. I admire their people and I admire the development that is going on in that place.

Second will be Cape Verde. I love Cape Verde because I think it’s a vacation destination. I love the beach, the beachfront. It’s an island. I love islands a lot. It’s an island and there are very beautiful people there. So I think South Africa and Cape Verde.

What’s the most underrated Nigerian food?

The most underrated Nigerian food? I think it’s Amala and ewedu. They are people who have their own general stereotype about the food. Just by how it looks, if you’ve not eaten it for the first time can take you aback. So I think it’s Amala and ewedu.

How do you look after yourself in your free time?

I love playing video games. Also I love hanging out with friends, and sleeping. I take my sleep very seriously because I work over 19 hours in the day. When I have the opportunity to sleep, I utilize it very well. That’s basically just hanging out with friends, picking up one book or the other to read and also sleeping.

What has been the most humbling moment in your journey as an entrepreneur?

I think it’s just the ability to build relentlessly. Nobody cares about your emotions. Nobody cares about how you feel, whether you feel like it, whether you don’t feel like it. You must wake up every day consistently, and show up. Nobody cares about what is going on in your life.

You must show up, you must be consistent as a leader to always talk to the team. So I think that’s basically it for me. I can be going through a moment of hell if I put it that way. I will still show up with a smiling face and talk to my people and lead, and then go back, go back, continue facing what I’m facing.

What’s one thing that you would love people to know about you?

Today Africa and Ishaq Willson

It’s that I’m a loner. I’m a one man army, I’m a lone ranger. I’m the kind of person that likes playing it alone. It has its own disadvantages and advantages at some point. Like the saying goes though, if you want to run, you run alone, but if you want to fly, you have to go with people. I’m a loner, I enjoyed my time with myself. I can be locked up in the room for the whole day. And I find pleasure in that. So basically, I’m a loner.
