What is the African country that you would love to visit this year and why?
I would love to visit Rwanda. The reason being, it’s booming right now. Whenever I meet people, it’s all about Rwanda. Yeah, it’s a small country, but it’s doing major stuff. So I would like to go and explore the opportunities in Rwanda.
What is the most underrated Tanzanian food?
Ugali I would say. We call it “maize meal”. It’s the major staple food but it’s also underrated.
How do you look after yourself in your free time?
I spend time with my family, catch up with my friends, and I read books. And of course I give myself time to rest because rest is equally important, just like work.
What has been the most humbling moment in your journey as an entrepreneur?
We are over 20 years in the business and being able to see the difference that I’ve made or the company has made in the lives of people, that is not the most humbling moment for us. Being able to see how you’ve contributed, this could be to your employees, to the society as a whole, and how you’ve impacted them.
What’s one thing you would like people to know about you?
Beyond business, I’m passionate about connecting or helping people in entrepreneurship ventures, especially women. That’s one thing I would want people to know about me. And I’m open to collaborations should anybody want to reach out to me.
